Please be advised that the raiders will be conducting an EGM (extraordinary general meeting) on Tuesday 2nd February at 7pm at jets sports club.
The meeting is open to all raiders members and is required to discuss some important changes.
Note this is not the AGM, which will be held on the first Tuesday on April.

The Raiders are looking at revamping our website.
But before we jump into a new site, we need the assistance of a webmaster.
We are not expecting you to be an IT guru, just someone who is computer savvy and can devote some time to maintain the website.

Understanding that gridiron can be an expensive sport for a player in their first year we are instituting a new initiative from 2009.
Raiders rent, try buy.
It works like this. Whatever money you have paid in rental comes off your residual for the purchase of equipment. There will be a storage fee incurred for every year before purchase.
Option 1
Buy your equipment outright year 1 = $220
Option 2
Rent year 1=$80, buy year 2 cost =$170. Total $250
Option 3
Rent 2 years=$160,buy year 3cost=$120. Total $280
Option 3
Rent 3 years=$240. Buy year 4 cost=$70. Total $310
Option 4
Rent 4 years=$320. Equipment is yours to keep.
There will also be an additional $100 fully refundable deposit due every year for rental. Deposit will be refunded at the end of each season on return of equipment or can go towards purchase for next year.
Equipment includes 1 helmet, 1 pair shoulder pads, and 1 set 7-piece lower pant pad set.
This will make the decision on whether to buy or not easier.
These prices are an indication only. If our costs increase for sourcing equipment these prices will have to reflect that but hopefully we have enough flexibility to cover fluctuations in exchange rate and the like. All equipment is reconditioned before purchase and will be kept to the highest possible standard.
New equipment is an option and we will assist in the purchase where possible. Brand new equipment will cost around $400.
